I’ve kinda started missing my session with this new therapist and was looking forward to it. But today when I saw her, it felt like I got nothing to share, and she didn’t know what to say, so the session ended early. Why do I feel upset?

Many therapists have said they can tell when someone is dissociating and have stated there are signs it's happening. If that's truely the case, and it appears obvious to you… Why does it take 8 years and 3 misdiagnosises before you recognize DID?

So I’ve been pondering on this thought for a bit.. for those of you on here who’s therapists allow in between session contact. Are you ok with a no response, a short response, or even just an emoji? And if they don’t respond are you triggered. Does it make you feel uncared for or even unimportant? And does this translate over into other relationships in your life? Just interested to know if it’s a TR thing or a human nature thing?
